EJO Twifuza “assists the Government of Rwanda to stop human trafficking through education and transit monitoring, and helps potential victims find a safe way back to their familyʼs home.”

Our work combines prevention, real-time rescue and compassionate after-care so that exploitation is stopped before it starts.

What We Do

Why We Fight Human Trafficking in Rwanda

Rwanda remains a source, transit and destination country; traffickers move children, women and men into forced labour and sexual exploitation both inside the country and across East Africa, the Gulf and beyond.

Staying silent would leave vulnerable lives at the mercy of modern-day slavery.

Our Strategy

Prevention &
Awareness

Education campaigns, faith-based outreach and community health work reduce the vulnerabilities traffickers exploit.

Rescue via
Transit Monitoring

Education campaigns, faith-based outreach and community health work reduce the vulnerabilities traffickers exploit.

Care & Reintegration

Intercepted survivors receive short-term shelter, food, healthcare, counselling and
safe transport to reunite with their families, plus follow-up support.
